The visitcholula.mx team determines the processing of personal data collected through the site's WhatsApp chatbot.

To fulfil its assistance and information purposes, the WhatsApp chatbot collects only the following personal data, directly:

• Basic identification: the username configured in your WhatsApp profile and your mobile phone number.
• Location: your real-time geographic location (only if you choose to send it voluntarily and explicitly, in order to receive recommendations for nearby places or attractions).
• Interaction: the messages, questions, travel preferences and options you select within the chatbot menu.

⚠️ Important note: this service does not request or store sensitive personal data (such as beliefs, ethnic origin, health status or financial information). Please do not share that kind of information in your messages.

3. Purposes of Processing

The data collected will be used strictly for the following essential purposes:

• Answering, guiding and responding to your queries about tourist information, events, food, lodging and activities in Cholula.
• Sending the recommendations or digital guides that you yourself request, automatically.
• Generating anonymized statistics to improve the service.

Additionally, interaction data will be used to:

• Generate internal statistics and usage reports in a completely anonymized form (without linking questions to your phone number), in order to identify visitors' main questions and improve the chatbot service.

The Data Controller undertakes not to transfer, sell or share your personal data with local businesses, third-party companies or external agencies. Data is processed for the sole purpose of providing you with the tourist information you requested.

5. User Rights (Access, Cancellation and Objection)

You have the right to know what data we hold about your interaction, to ask that no further messages be sent to you, and to request the deletion of your record from our database. 6. Use of the WhatsApp Platform

This service runs on WhatsApp, an external platform owned by Meta Platforms, Inc. Use of that application is independently subject to WhatsApp's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. The Data Controller neither owns nor is responsible for how Meta processes its users' information outside this chatbot.
